The Hong Chi Association (HCA) and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a long-term partnership partnership to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities and promote inclusive communities on 28th June,2024.
Mr. Edward Tang-wah Yau, GBS, JP, Chairman of Hong Chi Association Council, and Professor Alexander Ping-kong Wai, JP, President of Hong Kong Baptist University, attended the signing ceremony. The MoU was signed by Ms. Zuie Lin, General Secretary of Hong Chi Association, and Dr Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) of Hong Kong Baptist University.
Under the terms of the MoU, HCA and HKBU will collaborate in the following key areas:
Hong Chi Association looks forward to establish a long-term cooperative relationship with HKBU to identify new collaborative opportunities and ensure the successful implementation of agreed initiatives under the MoU.
We hope the partnership could foster greater inclusiveness, and facilitate knowledge sharing. The collaboration between HCA and HKBU not only mark a milestone for special education in Hong Kong, but also underscores HCA's commitment to driving positive change and creating a future where all individuals can thrive and contribute to their communities.
