The annual design competition co-organised by Wheelock Properties and the Hong Chi Association was held successfully today. Coinciding with the Hong Chi Association's 60th anniversary, this year's design theme was "My Christmas Wonderland," allowing children from the Association to envision their beautiful dreams and showcasing the artistic potential of children with intellectual disabilities. This initiative aligns with Wheelock Properties' long-standing commitment to promoting diverse and inclusive development.
The competition received an enthusiastic response, with a total of 172 entries submitted. A judging panel by the representatives from both Wheelock Properties and the Hong Chi Association selected winners from two categories: Group One (11 years old or younger) and Group Two (12 years old or older). Each group featured 1 champion, first runner-up, and second runner-up, as well as 10 merit awards. In addition to receiving generous prizes, each winner was presented with a backpack printed with their award-winning artwork, celebrating their artistic talents while wishing them a joyful Christmas.
Ricky Wong MH, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Wheelock Properties, expressed, “We are proud to partner with Hong Chi Association for 16 consecutive years in hosting the annual Christmas Design Competition. This year's theme, "My Christmas Wonderland,” sparked a wave of enthusiastic participation from students, with each showcasing exceptional creativity. Inspired by the champion designs from two groups, we have brought their drawing to life by incorporating them into Wheelock Properties' corporate electronic Christmas card and physical Christmas postcards. This initiative aims to nurture the creativity and talents of the students. As a long-term partner of Hong Chi Association, we will continue to support students in realizing their dreams through diverse activities, working hand in hand to foster an inclusive society.”
The winning entries will be uploaded to the Hong Chi Association's Facebook and Instagram pages during this Christmas season. Everyone is welcome to visit and appreciate the artworks.
