Our Story

After 2 years of strenuous preparations, Hong Chi Morninghill School, Tuen Mun, presented its first-ever English Musical at Yuen Long Theatre in mid-June, involving over 170 students, 70 teachers and staff, 50 parents and countless volunteers. Filled with energy and excitement, students put up an impressive show consisting of singing, dance, African drums, juggling and martial arts performances, bringing the audience into the world of the jungle. The musical was a great success and received a thunderous applause.

To prepare for the show, the students spent a year learning their lines and the songs, and another year to rehearse for the musical. School teachers also played a vital role in assisting the students to better understand the story by teaching the plot during school lessons, as well as recording the lines to help students memorize and practise. Although the preparation period was filled with challenges, all the hard work has truly paid off seeing the happy and proud smiles both up and off the stage.
